Chicago settled on a backup for point guard Derrick Rose on Monday by agreeing to acquire C.J. Watson from Golden State.

The San Jose Mercury News reports the Bulls will send the Warriors a 2011 second-round draft pick as part of a sign-and-trade for the unrestricted free agent. Golden State also will receive a trade exception for about half what it paid Watson in the first year of a three-year, $10.2 million contract.
