Official Bruins Rumor Thread
Well, in this cap world, it seems the Bruins are in a lil bit of trouble trying to stay under the cap for the start of next season. With that being said, they still have to Sign Blake Wheeler, with both sides not making much headway. Although Peter C and Wheeler's Agent said a deal will happen before arbitration. With the likes of Tyler Seguin, Joe Colbourne, Zach Hamil, Brad Marchand, & Tommy Cross on their way, we need to bump some salary.
BleacherReport.com are investigating this issue and are reporting interest from teams for Marc Savard and for Tim Thomas. Right now here is how its breaking down:
Marc Savard:
Interested Teams: Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Columbus
Tim Thomas:
Interested Teams: Philidelphia, Tampa Bay, Montreal, Dallas, and New York Islanders.
The best Case Scenario for Boston would to get a Top 4 Defense, preferably a puck mover, and possibly another backup goalie for Tuukka.
Let me know your thoughts and what you think the Bruins should do?

Marc Savard = Vancouver Canucks...please!!!!????

This should be fun following where he goes
Give Bieksa up, another d-man, and maybe a draft pick.
EVEN though I like Bieksa, but he does need to go.

I would like Bieska, but not at 3.5... That would be defeating the purpose in my opinion...

hmm, ya youre right. Not much that the Canucks would be able to give up though. If O'Brien hadnt signed a contract, then I guess we could give him up. If O'Brien was still free, maybe we would be able to give him up, a prospect, and a draft pick.

As far as I'm concerned now, I'll take a 7th round draft pick for Savvy... I love him to death, but we need room on the cap for our youngsters, and no matter how much it sucks that we signed him to a "Career" Contract, and then trade him, it makes sense for the Bruins. But if Neely wants to make a push for the Cup this year, they're gonna need Savvy, and plus Peter C has already said, he sees savard in the spoked B in Prague for opening night...

if a 7th round pick is all you need, the Kings would gladly make that deal. heck, we'll give you Martinez with the 7th.

Kings fans - you don't want Marc Savard. He's not that good.
You need a trigger man, not a loafing center who doesn't elevate his game when the post season comes.

That sounds like Kovy but just change the word center to left wing.
