Dragan effect using gimp?
Okay, so I know one of the first things somebody is going to say is "did you google?" Yes. I google this, and didn't find much in the way of help. So I figured I'd give a shot at asking on here. You guys are really helpful like 99.9% of the time

Does anyone know how to set up a dragan effect using the gimp program? I love the effect and was hoping that someone could help me out.
Thanks in advance!!!!

I googled it and found this.
You will note that this does increase orange which can be reduced in Colorize step and channel mixer.....or desaturate at end.....
* Open image.
* Duplicate layer – Mode = Overlay
* Colors > Desaturate.
* Gaussian blur: 45
* Colors > Invert
* Opacity to personal taste
* Flatten Image
* Add Black fade to Corners (Mask or Filters Unlimited Plugin)
* Dodge/Burn (Shadows & Highlights) or Paint with color script
* Duplicate layer – Mode = Soft Light
* Colorize. Set hue at about 20 to 30 and increase lightness, Saturation
* Flatten image.
* Duplicate layer – Mode = Hue
* Channel Mixer (increase reds and lower greens)
* Flatten image
* Smart Redux Sharpen (Default)
* Flatten image.

thanks... where'd you find it? lol, i searched for hours... possibly not looking in the right place?
I do apreciate this though. By the way... absolutely love your work. I teach art in high school and thought I'd try this as a project in my digital design lesson. Would you mind too much if I used some of your stuff just as examples?
