I've been doing the Brushstrokes set for a while now and would be happy to inform you as to what is hard to get, what was never made, etc.
Brian Sutter and Pat LaFontaine were never produced. I believe the redemptions are kicking around though. Expect to pay at least $30-40 for the un-redeemable redemption cards.
Doug Gilmour - brown borders not produced, so only blue, green, and red bordered (numbered) versions are available, and they're all very hard to find and will run you over $100.
Howe and Orr are both high-end, but not difficult to find.
Gretzky, Lemieux, Messier , and Patrick Roy are VERY hard to find, and will run you a pretty penny. I've never even seen 3 of the 4, and the Lemieux I did see sold for something silly, like $400+.
The next group of really tough to find SPs are Jean Beliveau, Frank Mahovlich, Bobby Hull, Phil Esposito, Tony Esposito, Ray Bourque, Scotty Bowman, Stan Mikita, and all will run you over $100 now. There was a time when it wasn't this bad, but it's gotten there.
Your Lanny is in the next group, with Don Cherry, Luc Robitaille, Marcel Dionne, Johnny Bucyk, Bob Clarke, Gilbert Perreault, Cam Neely, Ron Hextall, Mike Bossy.

What a choice! I'd like to say forget both sets, but if you really want parkhurst or masterpieces, then masterpieces is the only choice.
Both sets are atleast SUPER hard to get, ok parkhurst is SUPER-SUPER hard. Some guys are trying to put that set together after it was published and still no chance. Personally I miss Parkie Gilmour Leafs auto, and last one sold ebay about 160$ (bv is 40$)
