    Crown Royale Box

So there's really two views I can take on this box break....

From the basketball fan and person who loves cards - The base design and cards are pretty awesome. Got a cool triple gu'd of 3 good rookies, Gu'd of a guy who isn't in a ton of sets, beautiful on-card auto of a decent rookie and another great looking on-card autograph of a retired player.

Then the harsh reality view - Sadly all that doesn't really make up for what I had feared going into the break, even with what I just said. I have about $12-15 of actual CV from a &80+ box......oh well.....here are the hits.

    Thanks for looking!

cant you get 10 apiece for the triple game used and the David Thompson? The Buddinger would have to bring close to ten and sell the base and inserts in a lot for 10. You should get half of your money back at least 30 maybe more depending on what inserts you got and base rookies

That should be the case, but not if you're selling on ebay.
The triple has been selling at .99 cents. The Buddinger has also went as low as $1, most selling around the $4 range.

I should say I'm not someone that thinks or expects to make money, or even break even in a break......though you do expect or would like a certain amount of value. I'll end up holding on to all these, as I said I love the look, so that's worth more than the minimal money I'd get for them.

Nice Thompson auto. I think holding them is the best bet. Or trading for something you need.

I know the David Thompson probably isn't the most valuable card in the lot, but to an avid NC State fan, or a fan of David Thompson like me..... A person would be willing to drop 10-15 bucks on it. Personally I'd offer 15 for it.

I agree with your comments that you would not come close to getting anywhere close on the money you dropped. Our local had the boxes for $108. which included sales tax. On my break if I went to sell what I received I might get $25. if I were lucky.

After watching box breaks, I knew this product had more miss than hit, but I wanted to try one just for grins.

    One and done for me.

I will not be trying the National Treasures basketball. I fear it will be more of the same.
