Pat Tillman?
Do you think his cards will rise in value?

No. I think his cards jumped a bit after news of his death but to most of the public he is old news. Usually deceased players cards jump in value right after their death (i.e. Reggie White, Walter Payton) much like an artist's work jumps in value after their death.
The only way I see Tillman's cards jumping in value is if a memorial is made in his honor like a statue or something and it gets national recognition.
Sucks too man... people who die of drug overdoses, drunken car accidents, and gang shootings live forever in American pop culture but those who die every day in defense of our freedom (not just soldiers... police, firemen, etc..) are lost in the shuffle.... even celebs.

I thought maybe the card companies would issue some cards this year with him on them. I was surprised they did not. I did read about one card company (cannot remember which one) had a jersey of his that they sent back to his family after he died. I thought that was a pretty honorable gesture on their part. They could have capitalized on the situation and made some jersey cards and did not. But, I still expected to see some of his cards this year....wonder why not?
