Yeah, the one time Donald signed for anyone in Columbus, he looked angry and almost made the little kid next me to cry. Needless to say, I have my mind made up about him! Even after last night, I'm still wanting Mattie LaPorta out of the line-up as an everyday player...put Santana at first, and have Marson catch. There isn't a big bat difference between Marson and LaPorta, but it's a huge defensive upgrade all around.

I'm really not thrilled about the Ubaldo Jimenez trade...our top two pitching prospects for a guy that has one ten of his last 36 starts? Make Ubaldo and Fukudome will get it going like they did in the past here in Cleveland. The price for Jimenez just seems too high...

Thanks for the congrats, too! I love getting returns from older players like Erskine...guys like him, Virgil Trucks, Bobby Shantz, John Miles and a number of other old ball players are what really make this hobby fun.

Wow. Donald really did just lose a lot of respect points from me. LaPorta got lucky, I'll admit. But he picked a good time!

I was just as skeptical about trading both White and Pomeranz for Ubaldo as the next guy, but in the end, I think it's a risk worth taking. Ubaldo's under contract through 2013 and his career ERA is under 4 at a park like Coors Field. Plus, nothing is ever guaranteed with these prospects. I remember when Adam Miller was considered just as big as both White and Pomeranz and look how his career turned out. And to boot, White's already been on the DL with a finger issue. Time will tell, but I like the aggressiveness Antonetti's showing so far. Now here's to hoping Choo and Sizemore come back 100% and the offense can get going!

    Pretty cool one in today....

    Lamar Odom - c/o Home - 14 days

Very glad to have this back! Only problem is, he showed that some of that Kardashian intelligence is wearing off on him...signed the back of my card and pretty small at that. Oh well, I'm just happy to have it back! Thanks to akoch for the address...

Yeah, definitely cool of him...Pretty sure they're real, too, considering they have minor differences from the cert I have...it's from 2000, to I can understand some minor changes, ha.

Pretty solid day today...and by that, I mean only like the best day ever......

    Jerry Sloan - c/o Home - 48 days (1/1, card)
    Phil Kessel - c/o Home - 83 days (2/1, my card and a 4x6 photo he included)
    Chuck Mercein - c/o Home - 6 days (1/1 4x6 of Lambeau Field; inscriptions!)
Ted Thompson - c/o Packers - 6 days (2/1, 4x6 of Lambeau, his own card, letter)

Overall, an EPIC day! I got my card from Sloan (personalized), a card from Kessel AND a photo (torn corner), two signed photos I took back from key Packers (GM and a back from the 60's), another extra card from TT, AND a letter! I'm absolutely in love with the two Lambeau photos I sent...very glad I had the idea. Can't think of a better way to come home from the first two-a-day of the season!

Thanks guys! While I'm thinking about it, I need to give a big "thanks" to akoch for hooking me up with the Chuck Mercein address and RGP for the idea to send to Thompson.
