I think the holidays are slowing things down. I sent a few things out early in the month and they are taking longer to get back. Plus Veterans Day and Thanksgiving stopped mailed delivery. My mailman said he is already seeing a big increase in mail, mostly junk stuff though. That's cool about using Facebook. I hadn't considered that one....

Yeah, I think that's true. Plus I really haven't been sending many out either. Need to work on that!

I've used Facebook and Twitter too, not really for MiLB guys for me personally, but college players, and rookies and Minor stars (NFL) are usually cool about it!

I have quite a few players in the Indians system on my Friend's List...comes in handy at the Clippers games!

Even though I haven't sent anything in a month, I busted my slump with one today...it's NOT the Josh Hamilton that I thought it would be, but rather former Bengals QB Ken Anderson. I'm feeling really lazy right now, so I'm not scanning it, but I believe it was about a six month wait...I'll get numbers and a scan up tomorrow.

My two recent successes...



The aforementioned Ken Anderson and what may be 2011's final success, RJ Umberger! This is my second return from RJ, but my first card. As a former Buckeye in the NHL, I'm pretty happy to get this one back. My goal for Christmas break is to get 30 requests in the mail to make up for my month off and can start 2012 off well!

Edit: Also, I'm doing some scanning and want to do a Christmas giveaway...if I get a great "contest" idea, I'll give away my extra Durant that I'm about to scan!

Haha I thought about just sending one to that I thought deserved one, but there's too many great guys here to just randomly pick one. That's why I want a cool giveaway idea...or I'll just put it up for another time. I'd like to give something away if I don't get a great idea, though.

I have no clue for a contest idea though. Was going to suggest a 2011 TTM ONLY contest. have folks submit there best 2011 TTM for 2 weeks, then vote for a week or so but not sure that would work. You would have people coming out of the wood work with In person Griffey jr successes on balls & Micheal Jordan autoed 8x10s saying there TTM & there wouldnt really be anyway to prove they didnt get them TTM when we all know that doesnt really happen.
