LeBron Rookie Question

I used to collect basketball up until like 02-03 and then converted to Hockey and haven't bought a pack of basketball or looked at a Beckett to see values and stuff like that.

I was thinking about getting a few nice basketball cards (4 or 5) for my overall collection. One of the cards I would like to get is a LeBron rookie, preferably one that is auto'd. My question is, for about $150, is that possible?

I have no idea the values and I'm not asking for BV or anything like that, just if that amount of money can pick me up a nice Bron Bron for my collection.

The answer is 'no'. He has several nice non-auto RCs that you can pick up for less than $150 (Topps Chrome, Bowman Chrome, EX). He is exclusive to UD so if you want a true auto RC the cheapest options would be his SP Authentic or SPx RC, both of which would likely cost close to $1000. Then there is Ultimate Collection and Exquisite.

Well like wrafman stated if you want a "True Rookie Auto" of lebron $1000 is a stretch i would say anywere from $600-$800, But if you want a nice insert rookie year auto than $200-$400 is around the range you would need, Sp Authentic/Sp signature Edition are your 2 best bets for a decent Lebron Rookie Year Auto.
