    Player collect help

    Hey Guys,

I wanna change my player who i collect, while I enjoy Dwight Howard and think he is good... hes just too popular and expensive. Im looking for someone who hasnt been in the game too long but is good and could go on to do great things, i wont mention any names. Im interested in who you guys could suggest to me.

    Thanks :new_llyin

I would stay away from anyone who is in their first or second year - while they might be a good prospect or talented individual, they generally have an unbelieveable amount of rookie photoshoot jerseys and autos on the market. It would probably be best to pick someone between the common role player and the star player, such as Al Harrington (just an example). Most importantly - choose someone who you like and have fun!

thanks for all your replies, didnt think many would actually reply to this thread.

My idea of collecting a rookie or sophomore was that it wouldnt be as hard as collecting a player say from years ago like Shawn Marion...

It turned me off collecting Marion because i didnt want to be gonig back almost a decade of cards collecting all of the cards until now, because i thought it would be impossible? Hes my favourite player..

what im thinking i might do is Collect Marion and pick up a different rookie every year starting from this year...? bad idea good idea? i really am thankful for all your feedback and help.

    thanks :D

    Marion started in 1999-00.

Here are other players to consider:

Lamar Odom (I collected him for years and still have loads of his RCs)
Ray Allen (nice player, having a great season, still not too old, cards are cheap)
Steve Nash (he could be the MVP and yet cards are very cheap)
Larry Hughes (having a nice season with Wizards; cards cheap)
Ricky Davis (doing well now with Boston)
Elton Brand (not flashy but great post player)
Baron Davis (could see a career resurgence in Golden State)
Jamal Crawford (still a little raw but can be explosive)
    Michael Redd
    Andrei Kirilenko
    Gilbert Arenas
    Richard Jefferson
    Kirk Hinrich
    Chris Bosh

Jammin you named almost all the players i was thinking about, except for Odom, why does everyone suggest him! lol

Ive decided im gonig to go with Marion, theres more.. fun in it, Im guessing hes not going to be as expensive or more sort after than Dwight.

so do i keep my Dwight cards or trade them for Marion of just get rid of em, they worth while holding onto for a few years or they will most likely just not be as sort after?
