New here...stopped collecting for a while, getting back into it.

Hey guys. I got into collecting baseball cards around 2000. Stopped about 6-7 years ago. And just recently started going through all my stuff and it got me back into it. Back then i never thought about a forum for sports cards. Just recently i googled "baseball card forum" and came across this.

Here's a quick little back round on some of my "higher end" previous pulls...figured i would share. Most of these are gonna be from the early 2000's. Here are just some that i remember (and i still have all of these).

My best that i recall is probably from 2001 Topps Reserve. I pulled the graded PSA auto rc of Albert Pujols.

I also just purchased a box recently off ebay of 2001 Topps Traded & Rookies. I bought this box back when it came out in 2001 and pulled a Pujols base rc, Ichiro base rc, and a Pujols chrome rc. So i figured i would try my luck again. Also had a good box this time. Got a Pujols base rc, Puhols chrome rc, and a Justin Morneau chrome refractor rc. I also just won a box of 2009 Donruss Elite Extra Edition which came in this afternoon...i will be opening that tonight. Wish me luck!

Also quick newb question...i noticed theres a place on this forum to upload pics...but i see almost everyone use photobucket. Is there a reason for using photobucket instead of this forum for uploading pics?

Hi, welcome to the best trading site on the net.

That was a very nice box you hit with the Pujols Chrome RC

most use photobucket that way it's easier to browse others collections and what they have for trade, also there's a limit on size and amount you can post in the threads I don't know what it is off the top of my head.

I just always found it easier to keep a bucket and that way people see what you have. I know I won't trade for anything until I actually see it.

There's a ton of great people here, but as always make sure you see what you are getting before buying and trading and I would recommend starting trading with others that have high feed back and "0" negative feedback.

That way you look out for #1, it's unfortunate but it does happen, always look out for your self. When trading you'll be required to send 1st until you've done 20 trades so make sure you are trading with those that have high feedback.

Also always send w/ del confirmation if trading or selling. (rule #1 always look out for #1-yourself). Not trying to paint a negative light by anymeans I've been here for over 3 years and and a member on other sites, and always use the same username so people know me, and SCF is hands down the best trading site around.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Just one quick question. Im trying to figure out how to turn off the feature where i get an email every time someone posts to this thread. I don't mind an email when receiving a PM. But i rather not receive them whenever somebody posts. I went under "Edit Options" and under "default thread subscription mode", i changed it from "instant email notification" to "no email notification" but i still received 2 more emails after i changed that from the last 2 posts. Im pretty sure thats what that option is...is there maybe a delay to the system? Or is there another option i need to change?

Go to your private messages then click setting & options (far left side), then click edit options and uncheck what you dont want.
