Is this a decent product?

Hey,
I'm new to the hockey collecting. I was wondering if 08/09 upper deck black diamond was worth buying. Any advice would be great. Not looking to spend hundreds of dollars. just looking to start my collection off.

Personally, I love 08/09 Black Diamond, I pulled a Jay Bouwmeester Onyx 1/1 from that product. And along with 2 jerseys, autos, and rookies. Its great and probably fairly cheap.

It is a very good bang for you buck. There use to be blaster cases for just over $100 which is a great deal. But hobby boxes are great too.

cool.. i think that i'm going to buy a box of either it or the upper deck champs... heck may even do both since they're both relatively cheap.

If possible, stay away from champs. If you are looking for something in that price range, look at UD Series 1, at Young Guns have good value.

I agree with the stay away from Champs statement, no resale value at all and some of it is really hard to trade/move.

I have always had good luck with 2008-09 Black Diamond so I would go with that.

Black Diamond is always fun. I personally shy away from 08-09 products because outside of Stamkos, there's not really a ton of value, but if it floats your boat, by all means.
