probably a stupid question
Okay, like the thread title says... this is probably a stupid question, but I'll ask anyways.
Is there such thing as a lower end Sidney Crosby auto? If there is, does anyone have one on here that they're willing to sell?
I'm new to hockey COLLECTING and want a Crosby, but not one that's going to blow my bank account in case I decide to stop collecting hockey.
Thanks for the look, and here's hoping to a Crosby!

Just like with anything collectable, an item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. That being said, if you're looking to spend around the $60-75 range for a Crosby, there's definitely a few options available. eBay, being one of them. However another route you may be wanting to look at would be one of the Crosby auto's from lower-end product. I would say that there's no such thing as a low-end Crosby auto, but there are definitely Crosby auto's from low-end product...I hope that makes sense. Meaning, you can actually pull a Crosby auto from low-end stuff like Fleer Ultra, Upper Deck, Champs, MVP...things like that. Now, granted, they're all going to be 'sticker autos' or 'band-aids' as we call them...and chances are they will be cheaper to obtain as most collectors tend to prefer hard-signed autos to sticker cards. (I'm one of the few that don't really care...an auto is an auto to me)
With the higher end product such as SP Authentic, OPC Premier, CUP, Ultimate, etc...that's where you're looking at a more pricey option. However, I have seen prices for the 09/10 Ultimate Signatures range on eBay lately between $75-100...and that's going to be a hard-signed card. (Granted, its a redemption right now...which is another thing collectors hate, so that may be why its cheaper)
There are many options to explore, and all kinds of different product available. Just some things to always keep in mind...find what is right for you...find what is right for your budget...prepare to make compromises and sacrifices to find exactly what you want and always have fun! Hope this helps and you find what you are looking for.

A BAP auto of Crosby not numbered might not be too pricey.

Yeah... that's more of what I'm looking for. I like the BAP set anyways.
