CD - like having the entire album. I don't get music just because I like one song. It's the whole album I listen to, or nothing!

I prefer to download I just dont see the sense in buying an entire album for 1 or 2 good songs, with of course the rare exceptions where most/all the songs rock

I've bought one CD in the last 4 years. I'd rather download the individual songs than pay for an entire album where I usually only like 1 or 2 tracks.

I definitely see dru and censored's point and agree to a certain extent, but I lean more towards windmortal's view. If I only like one or two songs on an album, I will download them. But I usually don't listen to bands that I will only like one or two songs of. Most of what I get is full albums of bands I know I like or fully expect to like most if not all of their music.

It depends on the artist. I like getting CDs but downloading is just so much more easier!

I buy cd's. However, more than cd's, i buy music dvd's - mostly concerts, but some collections of videos too. I really enjoy seeing the performer when i hear the songs, and to watch it on my 61" tv with surround sound is so great.

I like both, but prefer CDs over download if I'm wanting the full CD. If I just want one song then I go download.

I buy all of my CDs used on half.com so I can usually get them much cheaper than retail especially if they are a little older. Plus if something ever happens I have a backup or what I usually do is just resell the CD at a later date.

I DL first and if I like it, I'll end up buying it to get the actual cd feel and to help a good well produced CD. Theres just so much crap out there they its hard to mention bands cause its that many.

My one thing Im dealing with is putting them on a MP3 player, should I keep the cd after I ripped it or sell them off for others to enjoy?

I'm a collector at heart so I buy cds.. I have over 5,000 none of them burned (most I got when I was working for a music zine). I dont listen to top 40 or radio mainstream so alot of the cds I have are imported or rare 1st pressings and worth a decent chunk of money. Although downloads are cheaper you cant display, resell them, or look at any artwork. I also like to collect Vinyl aswell.

CDs...if it's only a few songs on the CD that I'm buying it for, the rest (or most of the rest) will usually grow on me too, and I'll end up listening to the entire thing any time I stick it in my CD player.

Download mostly. Though if it's a great album, I'll buy it. There's two artists I have every album of Eminem (Except Infinite, nothing but bootlegs on the 'net) and AC/DC (All the studio albums, plus live cuts, and some rare stuff). But I love rap/hip-hop, so if it's a classic album, I gotta have the CD, not a big deal to pick it up for $3 or so on eBay.

Anyone here actually pay for downloaded music? If you pay $1.29 for a song from iTunes, you're a sucker.
