    Showcase Insanity

Are we serious right now-50 bucks plus for Carl sheet metals/99??? What?? These people are messed in the head-thats assinine-like a lot of the prices on Showcase on there right now-and the thing is it isnt stopping-I think the economy is better or something because for a guy that hasnt won a Cup race since 2008 his prices are rediculous and im getting seriously frustrated...just had to vent.

High-end product, a very popular collected guy, and a lot of people collect showcase that collect sets. Makes sense.

It has to be the set collectors and the product because for every other release it is not like this at all-much easier to get the lower end stuff-I expect the high end low #ds to be expensive-thats always the case-its just the stuff /99 is going for way more than what it should-last year I got those same cards from showcase basically for around 25 bucks (sheet metal/45, Tire/99), and they were multicolored, nice pieces, and they were bought right after release-so idk lol

Ditto, stick and ball guys scoop them up to try and turn a quick profit. Prices will drop when Main Event is released next month.

Can't really complain about the Edwards cards going high & him not winning a race since 2008. The Earnhardt Jr & Patrick cards are going for more, & it's been longer since either of them won a race.

yeah but a lot of carl collectors are what you call bandwagoners-around 2008 when he was winning there were a TON more bidders and collectors-then as soon as that stopped-so did the massive bidding-now its back down to the same 8 to 10 or so. Danica and Dale Jr have a much more massive fan base.
