    New swedish member

Hi. I'm new member from Sweden and I recently had the idea that I wanted to try to find out the estimated value for my hockey card collection, in order for me to sell it. So my initial questions are:

Is there a special forum for value estimation or certain members that can help me in estimating the value of my two hockey card binders?

I'm completely new to pricing and valuation of hockey cards.

    Welcome to SCF DAR!

Getting the value of your collection is always tricky. Right now, the most accurate method is to go to eBay and search for recent sales of the cards you own.

Another way to do it is to look at Beckett. However, many cards in Beckett aren't priced accurately. Sometimes you can expect to sell for only 5% of their Beckett value, many sell for 10-30% of beckett value and a precious few sell for over book. Really, eBay is your best bet.

If you can't find recent sales on eBay, or in Becktt... why not just post a thread in the Hockey sale forum asking for offers?

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

    Cheers,
    reoddai

    Hi and Welcome to SCF,

I think you would do well to take the advice from reoddai on the pricing issue. Ebay is what the market may bear, and same is true for here, if you post a sale thread and see what offers you get.

Don't forget to check out this thread for "newbies" and be sure to complete your profile. Let me or any other staff member know if you have any specific questions.

    So glad you made it!

    Kevin
