    Team Jackson vs. Team Riley

I saw this topic in another forum and i thought it might be interesting to talk about.

So, in a 7 game series, who do think will win? And of course, this is assuming everyone is in there prime.

    Team Jackson:

    PG: Kobe Bryant
    SG: Michael Jordan
    SF: Scottie Pippen
    PF: Pau Gasol
    C: Shaquille O'Neal

Bench: Ron Harper, Lamar Odom, Dennis Rodman, Horace Grant, Toni Kukoc, Bill Cartwright, Derek Fisher

    Team Riley:

    PG: Magic Johnson
    SG: Dwyane Wade
    SF: LeBron James
    PF: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
    C: Patrick Ewing

Bench: Alonzo Mourning, Chris Bosh, Tim Hardaway, James Worthy, Charles Oakley, Michael Cooper, Byron Scott

This is really tough for me since both teams have some of my favorite players. I think overall, Team Riley may have the better chemistry and bench, but Team Jackson is just an offensive and defensive powerhouse. I'll have to give the edge the Team Jackson.

I think I would have to go with team Riley, but it is a real toss up. Just a gut feeling I guess.

Between those two teams, they contain the four basketball players I hate most of all.

    PG: Kobe Bryant..... Magic Johnson
    SG: Michael Jordan..... Dwyane Wade
    SF: Scottie Pippen..... LeBron James
PF: Pau Gasol..... Kareem Abdul Jabbar
    C: Shaquille O'Neal..... Patrick Ewing

I'll go with Jackson's team. Riley's only noticeable advantage is at PF... Kareem Abdul Jabbar > Pau Gasol

I think the most interesting match up is Scottie vs. Lebron. Obviously, Lebron is more talented Scottie, but you can't underestimate his tough defense. I do believe in his prime, Scottie would have been able to stop or at least make things very difficult for Lebron.

I went with Team Jackson because of the offense but Team Riley has a real deep bench that would pose problems for Team Jackson.

Wow, both have INCREDIBLE lineups...that would be one heckuva game! The only thing I'd have to argue here is the possibility that Lebron, Wade and Bosh may not have even hit their primes yet, considering they are all mid-20s...they still may improve...and if that happens, I'd probably lean to Riley's team...but, for now, I really don't know...probably Riley's team still, because the bench seems a little stronger...

That would definitely be a good matchup. I've always wondered how players from the 90's would play against players from this decade. I wish there was a way that you could bring the current NBA talent back into the 90's.

In terms of chemistry, it would also be interesting to see MJ and Kobe play together.
