The 1987 3rd overall pick was involoved in the neely trade. The pick(Glen Wesley) combined with neely were traded for Barry pederson. This could be what the card is referenceing not that neely was the pick mentioned...lol...Awful obscure

Ok just saw a Lidstrom patch pop up on ebay that's "HTWN". As far as I can tell, that's UD's cutesy abbreviation for hockeytown, right? I just wanted to run it by you guys and see what you thought.

I would say you are correct on that one. It is the player combinations that get me on some of these.

There have been a couple of headscratchers this year, that's for sure. A lot of people at first were wondering why on Earth you'd ever see a triple GU of Carey Price, Milan Lucic, and Paul Kariya, but it happened in SPx. Something for the BC boys I guess. LOL
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Yzerman wasn't a #1 pick. First round yes, but not #1. He was 4th behind Brian Lawton, Sylvain Turgeon and Pat La-la-la-la-lafontaine.
