Best way to sell complete sets

I am faced with an issue that I am sure many others are. Too many cards, too little space, and trying to find the best way to move complete sets out of the closet.

It seems like they go too cheaply on ebay, plus shipping cuts into the price. I thought about just pulling the better rookie cards or stars out of the sets and basically dumping the rest which I would hate to do, but I need to free up some room.

Do people still buy complete sets? They are basically early to mid 1980s Topps/Fleer/Donruss so they include some good RCs like Gwynn, Ripken, Boggs, Sandberg, Mattingly, Clemens. Also have some mid through late 1990s sets like pinnacle, bowman, bowman chrome which book decent but don't have any really expensive rookies.

I had previously dumped the really bad sets from the late 1980s to the early/mid 1990s and at the time was upset to only get 12% for them but now I'm thinking I was lucky.

I've sold all of the baseball complete sets I've put up on ebay, including some from the crappy years (late 80s, early 90s). They go cheaper but people out there are still looking for them.

everyone has a different personal collection, so one person may be interested in the 80s while another in the 60s. SO yeah, they would sell, everybody's different.
