How much are my cards worth?
I have about 10,000 baseball cards from the late 70's to the early 90's. I also have 4 unopened boxes of Fleer baseball cards with stickers from 87 and 88. I have Griffey Jr., Clemons, Conseco, McGwire, etc. rookie cards. I also have a 78' Terry Bradshaw Football card.
Here are my questions: What baseball cards are worth anything and how much are they worth?
How much could I get for the whole lot of baseball cards?
*I know they are really only worth what someone is willing to pay but I just want a ballpark to go from. I took them to a shop one time and the guy didn't even look at them, he just said he would give me $100 for ALL. I walked out.*

the earlier stuff depends on condition of the cards. Most of the stuff from 80-90's is junk but alot of it could have some real value.

I would just start pulling out the notable players and see if you have RC's (typically, a good indicator is to look at the back of the card and if it doesn't have any Major LEague stats listed yet, it's more than likely a RC). Once you start getting some guys pulled, feel free to shoot me a message with the players and card #'s and I can help you out w/book value and what people are actually paying.
As for what you can get for the entire lot....
Aside from an occasional set collector, not many people are in the market for commons from that era (massively overproduced)....so most of the cards are monetarily worthless. The collection would sell for whatever the better RC's in it would sell for - maybe a tad more w/the hopes of uncovering something you missed.Last edited by tkraft24; 08-17-2010 at 03:17 PM.
