    Laptop HD question

    Hey guys,

I am not 100% certain on this since I havn't fooled with Vista and 7 too often. If I was to plug a HD in from a dead laptop(motherboard issues) would it hurt my windows 7 machine? This HD has windows Vista on it too. I need to pull out documents and images off of it.

    Thanks
    Jay

Actually I was thinking primary. I bought a bunch of cables except the one I needed unfortunately. I figured on just unscrewing the cover and switching out drives
