    Worth sending in?

I have been mulling this over since I opened the box of 04/05 ITG Franchises and pulled the card...any chance of getting it replaced??? I know it is from many years ago but opened the box maybe 2-3 months ago and have been wondering if ITG (my favorite card company) may do something about it. I have never had any problems with damagaed cards from their products before and am unsure of their policies.

The card in question is this Mario Lemieux.

You can't see it from the scan but it has a very noticable scratch dropping down through the G and to the photo, also a very neat line running the entire length of the card about 3/8" from the top of the card. Not a huge deal as I collect the franchise stuff so the value of the card $60 I think isn't an issue as I wouldn't be trading it but I would like to have another one without the defects for my PC.

LMK if it is hopeless and just suck it up or make a stab at a replacement by sending it in.

    Thanks

It never hurts to call. The worst thing they will say is "no."

Usually the printing plates are gone by now. Pacific used to intentionally print an extra 6-8 cards just for this reason. They show up on ebay as "ERROR CARDS NO SERIAL #!!!!" someone bought a bunch when they auctioned the leftovers off.
