    Question about trades..... please help!!!!!

Hi all, just wondering the proper etiquette for trades involving paypal.
I have 2 open trades, one for 6$ and one for 20$
In both cases, the seller is asking for money to be sent as a gift on paypal
If i send $20 though, it will charge me 20.88 which i dont want to do. I i decline fees, they receive only 19.12

I dont want to get a bad rating so what do i do????

I believe if you send as gift, there are no fees either way

Maybe there is a fee because they are non verified paypal members?

the fee that gets you if you were to send as a gift only comes if it is not from your paypal balance. ie if it is coming from you credit card.

Just as an FYI folks - if there is a dispute between you and your trade partner (i.e. the cards don't arrive) PayPal will not help you get your money back. By sending money as a gift you waive your right to file a chargeback with them.

SCF's official policy on PayPal gift payments is here: https://www.sportscardforum.com/showthread.php?t=986966

    Relevant section to your concerns:

If you do not feel comfortable in any way about using the gift payment option, best thing to do is decline the deal. If a seller makes it a requirement after the deal has been posted, you will be permitted to decline/back out of the deal without any consequences if you do not agree to pay in this fashion.
