    Calgary Flames Patch Question???

Hi, i've been wondering something for a while now and decided to ask. If anyone is familiar with the calgary flames shoulder patches (one is the alberta flag) (the other is the canadian flag) how come we never see these patches in cards?

I'd expect that they hold those shoulder patches for the high-end releases - and for many of the more prominent players they probably want to use up all the old stock patches first before they get into the new ones. Here's hoping that for Backlund they get a shoulder patch card or two in there soon. :)

This is one of my beefs with high end sets. You could get shield chunks in older Pacific sets, although they always cut them in half. When the $100 a pack stuff is sold, collectors demend better swatches. This either results in massive # of jersey cards in a lower set or no good patches.

Was that seller from Edmonton. I have a friend who pulled a Kipper with the alberta patches in two of the windows. I have been looking for one of these when I started collecting Pardy stuff. But he doesn't have any game used yet.

It makes for an awesome patch, and some really big colour combinations from a Flames Jersey.

here is a great swatch from a seller on ebay:

The first patch is amazing; it is from the Alberta Flag off the Shoulder.

I am hoping for a couple of nice opprtunities in Cup this year, with big patch windows and swatches. Plus they should have at least 2 rookies make it into the ARP's if not more.

Might be some really nice patches showing up for Flames players.
