    New Member Introduction

    Hello.

    My name is Jason and I'm a returning baseball card collector. I used to collect baseball cards when I was younger. I mostly collected Topps and Upper Deck from the late 80s to early 90s and I was interested in all SF Giants.

    Now that I'm a bit older and have a son of my own, I've begun to get back into baseball and I've already been to several SF Giants games this year. I'm getting back into baseball cards and enjoy seeing him play with the cards, although he doesn't quite know what they are. Hopefully this will be a hobby we can share.

    Definitely times have changed since then and getting back into the hobby has been a big learning experience. From learning what baseball cards are out there, from the difference between retail and hobby packs, to seeing millions of cards out on the internet ready for purchase.

    I'm still collecting SF Giants and mostly around Topps and Bowman, but I'm interested in learning about the 206 cards that are coming out soon. I'm trying to find a local hobby shop that is open when I'm available outside of work.

    I'm glad to be a part of this community and thanks in advance for your help with my future questions....

    Getting into this hobby quick! Of course I had cards as a kid, then the other day I just wondered into the card isle and picked up a pack just for fun. Opened it up and pulled a Albert Pujols game materials jersey card! I have been hooked for 2 weeks! My wife wonders why im spending all this $ on cards. I say its for the kids but we know the truth. Maybe one day for the kids but right now...me! Love the Allen & Ginter sets! Quickly buying out all the local Wally worlds and Targets! Well just saying hi and im glad I found this site! My sig shows cards I currently want, and hope to make a few trades!
