Introducing Myself

Greetings!

So here is my story..

I am going to return to collecting baseball card casually. When I was a kid I used to collect them alot around the mid-90', just because I loved baseball and the cards.

Now I am returning to that hobby and 25 (still young). Just recently discharged from the Marines and now I am settled. So last night, I went through my collection (uncounted) to see what I had. Sadly to say I got some decent cards (ALOT of rookies, but common) and it also brought back some fond memories.

I remember I had a 1994 Upper Deck Next Generation Alex Rodriguez card and traded it for a 1999 Bowman Chrome Diamond Aces Refractors Derek Jeter. Wish I could have known for about players, etc. But it is nice to have memories about it. I primarily collect baseball cards. I've got two basketball cards that I have held on for a long bit. A Grant Hill RC and a Steve Nash RC.

But I am ready to enhance my baseball collection and talk cards with you, gents/ladies. Even if I don't know much about them, I would enjoy to start learning.

So beforehand, I want to say I appreciate any questions answered on the forums that I might ask.

Welcome to SCF! Glad to have you back in the hobby! Always love to hear those old stories about regretted trade ;) we've all got them! First and foremost, thank you for your service as one of the few and the proud. :D

Welcome back to the hobby as well. In my opinion, the mid-90's was a great time to collect. The cards aren't quite as worthless as the early-90's were, and they came out with some of the greatest insert sets ever. Some of my favorite cards are my mid-to-late 90's inserts of Pudge Rodriguez.

I am guessing you probably don't have any football, but just in case you do, we recently kicked off a
football trading contest for new members you might want to take advantage of. We would also love to see you in our New Member Chat Tuesdays from 8-10 PM eastern time.

Molina00, I actually have ONE football card that I received when I was young. A 1991 Topps William Fuller Autographed card. I watch football, just don't collect and didn't start watching football til around 1995. So I don't even know if William Fuller was a good player.
