Former 1st round draft picks
Do you guys think Stanislav Chistov or Alexander Svitov will ever return to the nhl? Chistov is doing ok in KHL it seems. Both were super high draft picks. Any thoughts?

Probably not. KHL has more money, it's home, and probably more fun at times compared to some of the NHL's rules and such. Depending on how much they are making, probably not.

Khl definitely does not have more money. Have a look at how many teams are already in financial trouble.

KHL doesn't have more money, but they will play low-end players like Chistov & Svitov more than an NHL team would.
I'll bet those guys are making in the 1-2 million, tax free, range. You think an NHL team is going to approach 2.5 or 3.0 million to bring one of them back? Never.

They had huge potential, especially Chistov.
