The 5th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina is fast approaching. I found some photos taken after the storm that i thought you might like to see.Heres a link.

one is one of the insurance photos i took of my place.
that particular pic was taken of the fence in front of the house. No damage to the house, a little roof damage to our shed, but after returning from Houston i spent 2-3 days just cutting up downed trees & moving them for debris pickup. we were 3 months without power. We were back at work within a week of returning (Walmart)

It's crazy that it has already been 5 years man, time sure flies by!
I still get the chills looking at pictures from the aftermath of that storm. Living in Florida it brings everything to reality when you see the destruction a hurricane of this magnitude can cause.
I feel for all the people that had to go through such tragedy and wish nothing but the best for the people that have had to start over with nothing!

What a terrible moment in our history. I spent some time in New Orleans this summer, and it's definitely come a long way in five years, but assuredly has a lot more work to do. It's a great city with great people. I have an Aunt that lives in Metarie, she was predominately spared, but most of her friends lost everything.
You Gulf Coasters are a resilient bunch.

Seemed just like yesterday. Time flies by quick. It's also hard to believe it's been 9 years since 9/11.
