Leafs Acquire Matt Lashoff
The Maple Leafs traded to get Matt Lashoff, a former Bruins 1st Round Pick. There now Leafs fans, we're even. GO BRUINS!

As a Leafs fan this move is a very minor move. In by minor I mean minor league/depth move for the Toronto Marlies. No way he makes the Leafs out of training camp this year and doubtful if he plays even 1 game for the Leafs this year.

They are ridding themselves of contracts. Im not sure the specifics but they are very close to the roster maximum. They hit their 50 contract max but at least 2 of those players will be in the O this year which frees those spots up. We still need to sign hanson and this may be a precursor to another trade or maybe a signing.

Alright, now that I've read the news clippings. It's not a bad deal I think. We basically traded a 5th rounder and a UFA for a 1st round pick. Berry and Giliati were stastically poor last season with the Marlies. Lashoff is only 23, so that's a good sign.

Very disapponted at the leafs fans on this site. Less important news and jokes have made headlines across the country. I take a direct smack at the Leafs and not one word. Boo on all ye all!
