Pet peeve....
PET PEEVE......
One thing that I must say is my single largest PET PEEVE is when people send you a pm, you respond to them and they NEVER get back to you.
Yes, we all lead busy lives, but at least have the respect to reply back to people whom answer your question or inquiry.
I am out......

Ever thing that there are some people that just don't want to trade with you???
There is this one guy whom I have posted 3 or 4 times in the last week on threads he has, about cards of his that I have for him. Yet for some reason he replies to everyone else and not mine. I know in the past we have set up trades, but he seems to not want to accept my help on sets or cards he needs.
This unfortunate and it looks like that we will not be able to hook up on anything in the future.
Not sure why I am being ignored, but there are more traders in the sea.Last edited by Zuback; 09-06-2010 at 08:53 PM.

I am guilty of this, but sometimes it is because I will live the computer for 10 hours, come back, and I have 75 PM's... kind of hard to keep track.

I agree with you.. if someone takes the time to send you a pm... its best to respond.

Couldn't agree with you more. This behaviour is very annoying, and is unfortunately very commonplace in this hobby. I've never came across this problem when I used to buy photography equipment online.

I try my best to respond to pms, but if you post a buy/sell thread, and tons of people respond, it's kinda hard to keep up. But I couldn't agree more. It is a little annoying when you send 1 pm and that person doesn't respond...but even more annoying when you send them multiple pms and they don't respond.
I get the feeling that they want to avoid me or they don't like my offer and just don't care to tell me that they don't like it.
But if I know that they are very busy, I really don't mind. But what bothers me is when I pm someone and they don't tell me anything.
Just my opinion :)

What drives me crazy is when you are discussing a deal with someone (at least 1-2 PMs from each side) looks like a deal is close and then you never hear back. I usually wait 3-4 days and then send a follow up PM to ask if we have a deal.
The part that gets me the most is not getting a response to the follow up. Fine you got a better offer on the card and our possible deal is dead, nothing wrong with that. JUST HAVE THE COURTESY TO REPLY. It takes less then 1 minute to type "No thanks, I got a better offer" and hit send.
I don't usually rant in threads, but this has been bothing me for a while and the title got me going.

I'm guilty of this as well unfortunately. Its never near the end of the deal because at that point I feel invested. But several times I've received a PM or gotten a response PM, read it, then completely forgot about responding. Usually it happens when i read it at work or downstairs and my cards are upstairs. Then when i log back in I don't see anything as unread.
If i do eventually catch it, I always apologize through PM, even if i don't want to do the deal. But I'm sure I've forgotten to respond to some at all. Its nothing personal, just poor memory.
