1/1 is only 1/1
Ooooh I hate seeing a card on the bay that is classified as a 1/1 or has one of one in the description because it is numbered to the players jersey number...and that is no reason to hike up the price!!
My two pennies.

The titles are worse, when they have 1/1 in the title when it's not a 1/1

The best one I ever saw was an Evgeni Malkin card #87/100 - don't remember the exact card - but the eBay seller had it posted as a 1/1 because it was Crosby's jersey number.
While it is true that some collectors will pay a premium on certain cards that are #'d to the jersey number of the player they collect, there are definitely some sellers that take things too far.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Now any Lebron/Bosh/Wade will have 5 reasons, well 4, to be a 1/1- 1/xxx Bosh's number and first made. 3- Wade's number. 4- Queen James' number. 5- Last one made

All reasons are good for sellers to claim a card is a 1/1! What people can do for money!

That's your opinion, but I will pay more for a card if it's jersey numbered(not a lot more, but more). There are a lot of other player collectors who do as well.

LOL I was actually gonna post a rant about this too. Some of the listings that get 1/1 in the title are just INSANE!!!!

"to each his own" applies here.
If I've got a card that's numbered 1483 out of 2499, I've got the only copy with that serial number on it. If someone wants to call that a one of a kind, let them. The 1/1 tags you see in eBay auction titles are just to get the seller more clicks. I can't believe that anyone actually bids on listings like that, thinking they're actually getting a one of kind item.
