The standard sized cards feature full color shots of the athletes in either posed, ring entrance, or in-ring action. The company, set and athlete name are all listed on card fronts. There is a top and bottom border on the cards that not only frames the picture well, but also provides space for the sub-set name to be listed. The card backs may contain a cropped head-shot of the picture on front. The information on the card backs varies depending on the sub-set the card if from. This information can include moderate career highlights, a direct quote from the athlete, commentary about the athlete from another athlete, out of the ring background information, information about a significant statistic or milestone or other information, again depending on the sub-set. The sub-set icon is also listed on the back. Both card fronts and backs have a moderate gloss to them.

What an awesome box of wrestling cards! Tri-Star really knocks one out of the ring with TNA Icons. Icons offers much better quality and more diversity of the action shots, a simple and clean design, does not miss on the stated hit odds and a complete set per box. Getting a complete set in a box alone makes Icons worth the price. I really like the set being broken down into nine different sub-set. This makes the set easy to organize a few different options to chase and covers TNA wrestling form different perspectives. All of the hits have serial numbering and three of them are pretty low. The autos are sticker autos but the cards are designed to fit them perfectly. I have mixed feelings about a parallel being called a "hit." It is low numbered, but I consider a hit to be an event used or autograph. There are a few duplicates in the box but consider these trade material after you complete your set!
The Bottom Line:
I give 2010 Tri-Star a STRONG BUY rating. A complete set per box is really nice. There is a lot of creativity and diversity with the nine different sub-sets. Go buy a box and trade all of your Sting cards to me!
