1999-00 UD MVP Stanley Cup Edition

I'm looking to purchase a box of 99-00 MVP SCE and was curious if anyone knew if the Gold Script and Super Script parallels were available in both hobby and retail boxes, or just hobby boxes.

Any info would be appreciated.

The gold and superscripts are tough to get in that product anyways, but since the hobby box goes for nearly as much as the retail, I'd go hobby. There's a chance for memorabilia as well in those boxes. In my experience, if you are ever unsure of a product, avoid Blister, Blaster, and Retail, and go hobby.

Thanks for the info. I'm actually attempting to build the entire set (all 220 base, Silver, Gold and Super). I pulled two supers from some loose packs and one box in the past, but that was way before I decided to build the set. I'm really just hoping to get the 18 silvers from the box and any gold or super would just be a bonus.

I pulled a Stan Mikita 500 Goal Club Stick, 10 years ago from a retail box.

The gold parallels and Super Scripts were very collectible, and they are now in the hands of private collectors and held on tight. The Super Script are something like 1:1,750 packs, and the gold 1:175 packs of hobby.

I don't know a whole lot about the 99-00 set, other than the stated odds. Good luck trying to build your set, but it will be tough. I'm still looking for a Bill Ranford from the 98-99 MVP set (Superscript). Over 10 years later, and I still don't have one.

I must have pretty good luck if those are the odds on the super scripts. I pulled two of them from packs back in the day.

My first autograph pull ever was a Biron ProSign from that set. Still have it in my collection.

I recently bought a box of 99-00 MVP SCE but don't know if it was a hobby or retail box. It was a 36 pack box, 10 cards to a pack. It was a really fun box break (seeing as it was only $25 for the box). I didn't pull any gold or super scripts (and they didn't even list the odds on the packs so I can't even say if they would have been available), but I did snag 18 silver scripts as they were 1:2 packs.

Drop me an e-mail or pm and we can work something out. When I saw the box, I thought of your project first and foremost. The guy that had them at the card show had two more boxes. I might try and track them down next show as it looked like good value for the money.
