What does the SP stand for?
I know that this may be a silly question, but I was wondering what the SP stands for.
Like SP Game Used, SP Authentic. What does the SP stand for? It doesnt mean Short printed?

It does stem from 'Short Print'.
I want to say that 1993-94, maybe 1994-95 was the first year (hockey anyway) that Upper Deck did 'SP' anything.
There were 'Upper Deck SP' inserts into regular UD packs. The following year, it became it's own set..... and like CSI, kept breading more spinoffs.
