Interesting Goalie Prediction
Who do you see as being more likely to have a breakthrough/comeback year in 2010-2011... Rick DiPietro, or Al Montoya? I suppose I could turn this into a poll even.

I chose DiPietro, because Montoya has a great goalie in front of him (Bryz). So I dont think he will have the chance to shine unless Bryz gets injured. NYI have some okay goalies, but IMO I dont think Biron or Roli or that reliable. Dont get me wrong....Biron and Rolison are 2 of my favourite goalies...but I think Dipietro has a chance to shine once he gets healthy.
IMO I think he is the better goalie. Biron and Roli are getting older and older, and they are constantly playing one night, then maybe 8 mights later, Biron is playing, etc. I think if Rick gets in and plays maybe 20 games...he will get his groove back.

Gotta take number three.
I'll be surprised (but happy to admit I'm wrong) if Montoya ever turns into something more than a good backup.
DiPietro, no question, has the talent. But after his injuries? I don't beleive he can stay healthy.

even with Depietro having the talent and being healthy, he still is playing in front of a really bad teamwhich will make his best numbers look near the bottom half of goalies in the league

DiPietro is still in the NHL?

I say the MONSTER will have a better breakout year than those two.

I've gone for number three.
Montoya hasn't been impressing in the AHL, but did okay in the call-up by the Coyotes a couple of seasons ago, but I don't see this season being a breakthrough from either.

I figure Dipietro will probably hurt himself tomorrow morning in the shower, or tripping down the stairs, or catching his fingers in a door...pretty much anything mundane and again season-ending. I do hope he can be healthy and be able to shake off the rust and shine...his hockey cards are dwindling
and therefore putting the brakes on my PC.

If DiPietro was smart, he'd retire. I'm sure the Islanders would fire Snow to hire him as GM. I voted Montoya cause I love him.
