Mailing a Baseball

I want to send a baseball to a couple of the former MLB players but I am unsure of how much postage to put on the SASE package. Does anyone know about how much it takes? I don't have a scale so I was thinking of erroring on the side of more.

Also, what is the best way to box the baseball for shipping? Thanks.

ive sent many baseballs, it usally works out to be about 8 stamps one way so about 16 bothways. ive always used bubble mailers one large and one smaller. the large one must be able to hold the small bubble mailer and of course the ball. the small one should be able to hold the ball.
not sure on the size of the mailer i use, but i believe they where the 8x9 general purpose from office depot.
larger mailer i beleive where 10x12 water proof mailer.
