Its not "fake" at all but its not an auto. Every pack of beehive has these 5x7 facsimile autos. Hope you didnt pay much for it

The one I have from Ultimate looks like your first one. Guys in Juniors actually work on their autos. I doubt Clarke ever did and would skull crush you for asking. I'd swear thats the same pic of him as your Bee Hive

Photoshop cropping work well for the industry.

You are right, here more info

Now in 2006-07 beehive also produce this :
    2006-07 Beehive Red Facsimile Signatures.

But there is also a set featuring a real auto of Clarke:
2005-06 Beehive Signature Scrapbook #SSBC Bobby Clarke AU

That is the only card that should be a real auto. No other instence of beehive are flag as a autograph card.

I'm still confused as to why they would issue an auto like this. Good thing I only payed a buck!

You can search for card before buying them. We just open the new SCF inventory manager and you can shearch for your card in our database, before buying it. Since they have attribute, you can check if the card as the autograph attribute. Just click on my banner in my sig or use the top link New Inventory Manager in the top forum link bar. That is a great way to know what your are buying to do a search first.

I thought BH were just meant to be copies of actual autos? My Clarke is FT, BTW...

Over time, a lot of players' signatures get worse. Phaneuf's auto also changed from when he was in the juniors and the NHL:

The Beehive is NOT autographed. It's a facsimile based on Clarkes signature. Players often sign differently for fans than they do for documents (contracts, cheques, etc).
