    Search Turned Off During Maintenance

    There are times during the day this week when I'll be cleaning up the database. To ensure the site runs quickly and doesn't crash I'll be turning off search (to include My Threads and My Posts) at times between 8am and 4pm EST. It will likely be down for a few hours each morning.

    This is one of the most important attributes of the site, and it is undoubtedly always a problem when I sign on. Does keeping the search feature on really lag the site that much?
