    Upper Deck Poker

Wasn't sure where to put this - it has been awhile since I visited here reguarly.

    Product Highlights:

    - 1 Showdown Signature per box on average
    - 1 Poker Paraphernalia Tournament Used Card per box on average
    - Gold Parallels of the regular set #'d to 99 (1 per box)
    - Limited Edition autograph cards #'d to 15
    - Limited Edition autograph memorabilia cards #'d to 15

I think the release date is 5/5.

Anyone going to collect these? I know of 1 other and possibly myself who will be after a master set. Just wasn't sure if the popularity of poker had reached over to the sports card industry yet.

    Thoughts?

Oh, i'm all over this being an avid poker player myself. I should have enough loot saved to play in the 2006 World Series Of Poker by the time it comes around.

Helmuth, Chan, and Moneymaker are the guys I tend to follow. Met Helmuth in Vegas last year and asked him for his autograph. He declined and I was disgusted. How was I supposed to know he just took a bad beat? Found that out later.

Just wondering what 'Poker Paraphenalia' is though. Should be a trip to find out.

I don't want to buy any of these, I want to resist buying any of these...I'll take a box.

I wouldn't worry about getting blown off my Hellmuth, he's a complete tool. Whenever he wins, he proclaims it loudly that it's because of skill. Whenever he loses, he proclaims even louder that it's because of luck.

I think that guy's name was Elix or something that went out of the Casino. But yeah he was a riot. My favorites are Howard Lederer and Barry Greenstein.
