James Sheppard - What Were You Thinking?

I know it's not quite the same as the Erik Johnson injury, but how does ATVing through rough terrain equate to hockey skill building and/or preparation for the upcoming season? Management can't be too happy.

Yikes. Knee injuries are never good.

I mean this kid has really underperformed in Minnesota and needed a breakout year this season but that isn't going to happen now. I think Minnesota rushed him to the NHL too early and he should have spent time in the minors. Hopefully he recovers quickly but being out 4 months won't help.

I can see both sides to this. Athletes are still humans at the end of the day and need to let off steam every now and then, but to go ATV'ing so close to hockey season starting is pretty silly.

Anyway, the Wild were stupid in rushing him anyway. Not sure if we'll ever get to see the Sheppard that was talked about a few years back. Shame.
