Interesting ... Then why would beckett.com have them numbered??? the mysteries of the hobby ...

Topps released a checklist a few weeks ago and they numbered all of the short prints. Read the BaseballCardPedia link as it has more info.

i opened a case only ones with actual #'s that high are the checklists which also only goes to 300 :)
