Expo Cards? 1/1's or no
I have a jonathan quick expo cards and its a BTP black jersey, on the front says 1/1 expo. Are these just cool things to get at a expo and nothing else? or does the 1/1 have meaning. Also would the stamp decrease the value or does it count as a regluar base to whatever set its from?

Of course the stamp decreases the value.
I have 2 Grezky's 99-00 BAP Millennium Emerald Ser. # to/10.
One is the real issue, and the other from the Toronto Expo. The difference in price is between $50.00 and $75.00 between the two.

I have one Staal show Stamped card and would love to get more but I wouldn't break the bank to get them. They're kinda cool but some people see "1/1" and think the card is worth a fourtune and try to sell it as such.
cough...cough...memoriesonice....cough....cough... ..LMAO!

I'll give my quick opinion that I think a lot of collectors will agree with...if it is simply a card from a set that any old person could pull from a pack but with a show stamp on it, to me it's not a 1/1. Doesn't make it less valuable either IMO, I just see it as the same as any other one of that card.
However, if it is a special promotion that the company is running at a particular expo or show where they are giving out cards that are NOT in the set and they put a 1/1 stamp on THAT, then THAT I would consider a 1/1 because you probably won't find another card anything like it as it wasn't produced as part of any regularly available set.
Hope this helps! :)

The "1/1" term gets thrown around a lot. Is the card really a 1/1 ?? Well, it's the only card, like that one, that has the gold foil 1/1 stamp from the Spring Expo. Does that make it a 1/1 ?? I don't see how you could say 'no', but that doesn't mean a lot of people care.
What does it do to the value? I guess it depends on the card. That Quick Jersey - IMO... it probably would sell for more than a copy of the card without the stamp. Why? Because the Jersey Black are relatively easy to get, and nobody that wants one will have to pay more than a few dollars to get it.
I'm also going to assume that there are more than one Johnathan Quick collectors out there, and more than one that would be interested in a show-stamped card. I can't imagine the bidding would hit $5, and then stop.
Would you get 10x regular Sale Value for it? Probably not. But a premium?? Probably.
