Question about collecting a certain player...
simply put...
i was just wondering if there was a site or a place that you could tell if your player that you collect will be part of the new products coming out this fall/winter?
I collect Johnny Boychuk (Colorado/Boston) cards and since he had a pretty good year last season with a great playoffs on top of that... i am hoping to see more cards of him this year.
I have searched beckett but it seems they only post his new cards after they are released?
Just wondering if anyone has any tips for preparing/looking for upcoming cards to be released?
Thanks all!

I believe there is a website like magazine-exchange.com that gives you a preview os a supposed checklist but no guarantees

to my knowledge, there is nothing.
Magazine Exchange is pretty good for getting checklists posted. Upper Deck - eventually - posts checklists of their products on their site. So does ITG, and I would assume Pannini will do the same.
None of those sites you can really do a search though..... other than doing CTL + F on any individual page.
Once products are released, and Beckett has the checklists - you can search for a player on there.... but this is usually not until a couple of weeks after release dates.

From what I can tell most of the companies have trouble knowing what is going to be on their CL in advance.

As a couple folks have alluded to, check the official websites for checklists to go through them to see what's in there. Magazine Exchange (http://www.magazine-exchange.com) will often have preliminary checklists posted in advance of a release; however, they are not final and are subject to change.
Don't expect to see much of Boychuk after his RC year cards - he may get a spot in the big sets like UD1/2, Score, and OPC, and maybe an auto or GU sprinkled here and there, but the B's have a lot of players ahead of him in the queue to get regular releases.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

i just wait for the checklist to hit beckett...you can search a name there and it will tell you exactly how many cards your PC player has and where and what sets they were in

D-men don't get love, unless your name is Lidstrom, Bourque, or Orr. When they do put d-men in products it's of the stars, so if they do give Boston d-men anything it'll probably be of Chara. Your best bet is the lower end products (OPC, UDS1/2, Score).
