    Habs Rookie Camp Opens!

Lots of coverage over at Habs Inside/Out today, including interviews with Pierre Gauthier, Lars Eller, and Louis Leblanc.

I also read that Leblanc had a 4-point game a couple nights ago. Methinks the kid made a smart move coming up to the CHL.

This is great! Hockey starts soon!

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Leblanc got 4 but Lefebvre got 5 on the same night...interesting stuff there especially since he's ours too :)

Lol@Gauthier's press conference telling us stuff we already know such as the Habs will have a new captain before the start of the season. Still got your money on Gorges Richard?

I can't wait to see what PK does this year :)

IMO it's pretty much 50/50 between Josh and Gionta. Maybe 55/45 for Gionta because he's under contract long-term whereas Josh is RFA after this year.

I really like both (Gionta and Gorges)I'm 50/50 on this one too. I would really like if they could sign Gorges for the long term before the season even start.

I'm with you on that one. The natural question at this point for any signing of course is: how much will it take? He's going to be due for a pretty big raise over his current $1.1M salary, and even though he's only an RFA next summer, depending on what letter he receives the pay scale could potentially triple. And I think they'll be fine with that.

I'd be fine with 3M$ per year for the next 5 years. I think that would make sense to both part. What do you think

I would be very happy with that contract for Gorges. With that said I think that Gionta will get the C.

I think a 5-year/$15M deal would be excellent for both sides. That said, if there is a C on the front, may have to bump it up an extra .25M-.5M per season - captains gotta get paid!
