Olympic hockey star Rompre dies
Robert "Bob" Rompre, a former Waupun resident who helped the U.S. hockey team win the silver medal in the 1952 Olympics, passed away at the age of 81on Monday at his son's home in Sun Prairie.
Rompre, also known as the "Flying Finn," set an Olympic record in Oslo for scoring four goals in one game.
