Do You Ever Request A Player to Add Their Jersey Number?

If a player doesn't sign with their jersey number do you usually request it to be added or who gives a cr@p lol. Just bored and wondered what others thought.

Nah, it's not an inscription I'm a big fan of. Depending on how a player does it, it can sometimes make the signature look not-so-good, but sometimes it looks nice. If a guy doesn't, then I don't care, if he doesn't, I never ask for it.

I'll request inscriptions like awards won, WS Champs, no-hit dates, etc. I've never requested a jersey # though.

I agree. If I get one that's fine but I never ask for it. The only time it would make sense is if the number was retired by the club they played for, even then I would still rather have an award, no-hitter or perfect game inscription

I like it a lot on the HOF plaque postcards. Its different and adds something to it but in general I stay away from it with some exceptions like Yogi Berra on a ROMLB or Carlton Fisk who'll inscribe their numbers for free and anything else for a bunch of money.
