I think it's actually 5 cards a tin usually, with some having 6 and maybe a few with decoys and huge hits with 4....

Believe you are right . Don't understand why the big gap between Canada and U. S. pricing as our dollars are within 2 or 3 cents

Considering what a tin goes for, it might be interesting to put aside $400 and hit up Ebay and buy singles, and see what you can get for the same price. Nothing huge, unless you find a card that slips through the cracks, but I'll bet you have more to show for it when it's all said and done, and you don't have to worry about getting a dud tin and blowing that money on bad cards you don't want. I've been considering it..

From what I've seen so far this set frightens me. A serious chunk of change is about to leave my bank account.

Would the Canadian vendors have to pay massive customs charges on the product they order? Just a stab.

This could be, but the 100-150 dollar difference seems like it's way too much per tin. I'm not totally sure how the Canadian tax system works, but I know they pay far more int taxes than we do in the states for health care ect.. that we do not.

Not sure on the import tax but if we buy from a store we pay a 13% sales tax in Ontario(other provinces have different rates)on top of the price. If you pay cash at a show like the spring expo then no tax

From what I have heard in the US they buy directly from UD or UD distribution companies. In Canada everything gets sent to a distributor and they mark it up and then sell it to us hobby shops.

We would have to pay duty on stuff coming from the US and its a decent amount. Also I know most states are between 5-8% sales tax as where in Ontario its 13% (as you pointed out).
