UD Replacement question

Hey,

Early this year I pulled a UD Black Rivals Card Pittsburgh vs. Philadelphia....BV of 300. This card had 6 jersey card pieces from each team. It opens up into 4 attached cards. The card I pulled was cut completely in half. Just received my replacement from UD. I got an 09/10 SPA Marks of Distinction Sidney Crosby /25. It's a pretty sweet card. Anyone else have any thoughts on how I did.....

Personally I would say you did great. A Philly/Pittsburgh Rival card received no bids at $129. While the last Crosby M.O.D. sold for almost $160. Can't hate a Crosby auto.

Nice replacement! But it makes me wonder if they actually put those Crosby cards in packs, 'cause I received one as a replacement as well.

I think it's 'pretty ok' replacement, but I like Rivals card more. There's a ton's of Crosby's auto cards everywhere, but nothing like that Rivals card. How about, let's say after 5 years? There's a another ton Crosby's auto cards but is there more 6 on 6 magazine cards? Prop. no.

hmmm, that is interesting. i got my package back from UD today for a damaged eX red parallel of Forsberg #/21. It was very badly damaged out of the pack, the machine definitely mangled the paper part of this plastic/paper card. I sent it in February of 2099, (YES 2009), and finally got it back today, after hounding and asking them where it was for the past year and a half. I am not sure when the 08-09 ultra product was released but i am quite sure i bought it close to the release date and i was so mad that i sent if back right away to make sure i would get a replacement. Anyway, in your above statement you said you got a replacement. My letter states "..due to legal reasons, we are unable to replace damaged cards with product of similar value. Damaged cards can only be replaced with the same card." so they sent me 9 packs of ultra for my trouble.

So, am i missing something here, i buy a new product & i now have a SP damged card that is worth nothing. i understand with older product but this i do not understand.

Honestly, after this, i am not buying UD boxes (ie. proper full 24pack boxes) ever again. i guess the exception would be if i see an ocassional UD blaster that is half price (which Wal-Mart and Toys R Us have the odd time) & when i have to buy one for a UD redemption at the Expo. I'll stick with UD singles that other have opened and taken their chances with it. Other thatn that looks like i'll be only getting ITG and panini.

Very rare that UD hands out a Crosby auto as a replacement. I'd say you did very well.

That is weird.. that Forsberg is worth upwards to $50 too.. those ex numbered cards are worth big money.
