How quickly will The Cup sell out?

Any chance that it lasts until the middle of November?

you'll always be able to find tins. if demand increases like crazy, everyone will raise their prices till people stop buying. even now, you can find tins from any previous release if you look hard enough or pay enough.

I always wanted to try and open at least 1 tin from each year. I still haven't opened an 05-06 tin or an 07-08 tin because I can't find them for any sort of reasonable prices.

If you're going to buy a tin, buy it when it firsts comes out, because you will never find it cheaper. It's THE high end product of the year for hockey, and people know this. Demand will never go down therefore prices will always go up.

I guess I should have qualified my question. I saw that blowout went from just a shade under $2k to $2165 a few days ago. DA is still sitting chilly at $2045. I'm guessing that prices at $2300 won't be unheard of just 10 days past release. By the time I have the available funds to buy a case in the middle of November, the price could conceivably be $2500. But a bachelor party in Vegas calls and a nice bankroll is always necessary for that trip. Since this is my first year collecting with a Cup release, I didn't know if it was unheard of to see most of the supply dry up after 4-6 weeks. This season will be a learning experience for me with respect to going through a year when all of the new product is hitting. I only got to see a little of it with Ultimate and OPCP this summer.

each year is different depending on how the breaks go. if breaks are good and secondary market prices for singles hold well, you can expect more people to break and continue breaking. there have been years where breaking was only "meh" and prices declined slightly.

unfortunately, this year doesn't seem to be one of those years. at this point, it looks like UD really stepped up their game with this release. the 05-06 flashback rookies designs, the 93% redemption free, the multitude of crazy patches this year all seem to have everyone looking for tins.

Well last year was packed out very well, like one box wasn't bad. If this year is the same, it will sell out pretty fast.

Exactly what I am afraid of. Not sure I want to put a $2k dent in the Vegas bankroll. Less chance to win that case (unlikely to happen) and less opportunities to help young ladies advance their educations (given will happen). Guess I can always wait for Ultimate X and Enshrined.

It's selling pretty steadily but the case price hasn't yet moved $100. Poor economy and perhaps UD let the presses roll a bit on this product. I don't see it drying up anytime soon.

I'll say you'll be able to get a case of it in Mid November, starting in a week or so all of the other products will be released and not as many people will be breaking the cup (except all the high end dealers). Just my thoughts.

There is still lots of Cup available and the pricing seems to be stable (for now at least :) ) Still, I would get a tin sooner than later just in case.
