St.Louis Blues Ticket Promotion CRAZY
so i was on espn.com and saw a video of mike and mike where they said that fans in st.louis who order season tickets now pay only 50% of their bill. Once the Blues quallify for the playoffs this year then they will be billed the second half. Should the Blues miss the playoffs you walk away with half priced season tickets!!!!!! This is up there with the Florida Panthers name your ticket price promotion. Its a much different story here in Vancouver where my season tickets have gone up in price 6 straight years now and with a season ticket waiting list at over 15000 people!!! They all pay $100 per seat to get on it and $50 per seat per year to stay on it. When i hear stories like this it makes me wish i were from some us city that didnt care about hockey.....but then again the weather is pretty nice here in VanCity..
that is all discuss

That is AWESOME. I wish the Wings would do something like that, though I'd always have to pay the second half

If I lived in St.Louis I'd be a season ticket holder for sure. Hopefully they do this next season when I might be living there This is great for the organization to do for the fans, but hopefully they make the playoffs!

Ummm...I'm pretty sure there are plenty of people in St.Louis that care about hockey. Yeah, of course hockey isn't as popular in STL as in Vancouver but try living in Kansas City a city that actually doesn't care about the sport.

For sure not really talking about st.louis at all more like phoenix nashville atlanta carolina florida where tickets can be redily availible for almost any game.
In vancouver here we have had 300+ sellouts in a row a streak that started back in 2002. in a week or so i will go to a sold out open practice yes a practice with 18500+ there to watch the boys go through the paces. tickets were free but u had to pay the ticketmaster charges of almost 6 bucks
.
As loong as the Blues make the playoffs this year you might get lucky and have the promotion again next year but if the loose out on this once i doubt they would ever try doing anything like that again.

Wow. That is a crazy promotion offer.
Looks like their fans are only going to be paying half, because I think, they'll be making the Playoffs.

Kings did a DIE HARD fan section the year after the lock out that offered season seats for $10 per seat AND gave a different Die Hard Kings fan shirt every year - They were behind the goalie in the last 6 rows.......I still have those seats but they have increased since then a whole 10%...now I pay $11 per seat.....
Cant beat a season of hockey for under $500 (43 games + guarenteed all promo giveaways even if I miss the game) AND a free ticket to "Meet the Players" - a day of talking to players and getting free autos.....

No you can't beat that considering I just bought 2 lower bowel tickets from a Canucks season ticket holder on craigslist for the Canucks vs Leafs game in Vancouver Dec 18th for $450 CDN total.
As a hockey fan really would like to see more live games but living in a Canadian city it is so expensive.

HOLY MOLY!!!
You just paid for one of my seats for 43 games
I do remember going to some games in Canada - they are expensive - went to Oilers / Kings and they wanted like $80 each for upper...ended up getting some at $40....

Last year after the Leafs were eliminated from the playoffs my girlfriend and I were lucky to find $40 seats for $80 each. We were in the very last row of the building and she had a pole partially blocking her seat.

Here in Columbus they have $10 seats as well. They are last two rows at the top, but really for $10 you can't beat it. I can usually find lower bowl tickets for $30-40 per seat. I've been thinking of getting season tickets for the same reason as you, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
